Emma is a lovely girl, adopted by the governess Miss Taylor and her father Mr Woodhouse together, the mistress of the Hartfield house. She is good-looking, humor, and happy, just sometimes a little too clver to think herself in interfering other’s lives, such as making matches for other peoples, though there’s only one lucky guess in Miss Talyor and Mr Weston. Now she is fond of finding a wife for the vicar, Mr Elton.
While Miss Taylor had to leave the Hartfied to live as Mrs Weston in Randalls, Emma find herself a new good friend Harriet, an orphan. Then Emma enjoyed helping and influencing her. Even in Harriet’s marriage, Emma thought Mr. Elton is the perfect chiose for Harriet, and making a lot of chances to connect them. Unlukily, Mr Elton is fond of herself. So, the match maker becomes the trouble maker, with the result of hurting both Harriet and Mr Elton’s heart.
Frank Churchill, the son of Mr Weston, whom was expected to be the husband of Emma, come to hava a vocation in Hartfield. His interesting and flirting makes everyone think that they are in love with each other. When the young man finally got the freedom to marry anyone he want, he choose another girl. It’s only a deceiving beheave of Frank because he has to keep it a secreat to his family. Emma is so luckly to escape from the tricks of Frank’s love. However, when there’s a threat, there’s a chance too.
Emma suddendly find the true feeling of her self to Mr Knightley, who is always guide and protect her. She had been blind to the feelings of others and to her own heart. She never known when had Mr Knightley become so dear to her. She even had made Harriet vain and independent enough to dream of being the Mistress of Donwell Abbey, the wife of Mr Knightley. She had never known before how much her happiness depend on being first with him, first in interest and affection.
Of course, at last the price and pricesess were lively together happily. But how many people can realise the true feeling of others and themselves in time? How would they brave enough to meet the lover? The heart is the most fantacy thing in the world.
